Lots of dance at this time of year with many friends having their shows. Bolt by Jeryl Palana’s Art on Earth company started off Asian American Month with a focus on three women choreographers. I had a blast watching them and moderating the Q&A afterwards. Such wonderful artists!
And there were other shows—my friend Demetrius performed in Bill T. Jones’ D-Man in the Water at the Boston Conservatory and was absolutely stunning in it, the fundraiser show at Boston Dance Studios, May Fair in Harvard Square…Spring is here so it seems right to dance!
It’s been a year since I started dancing again and I am grateful for the dance friends and dance teachers I’ve met along the way. I know there’re many people who don’t understand why we do this, but for those who do, it’s enough that we just have each other, and dance!
